3MBS is pleased to welcome back saxophonist Michellina Chan to perform in the third episode of the finals series of Season 3 of The Talent on October 25th . She will be joined by two collaborative artists, pianist Leigh Harrold and saxophonist Alexis Seah.
An active soloist and ensemble performer in her native Singapore and Australia, Michellina recently completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. She has received several awards including the First Prize of the Hugo Stockigt Award (Open Unaccompanied Solo) at the CLASAX Performance Competition 2015 and the coveted First Prize of the MCM Chamber Music Competition 2014 as the soprano saxophonist of her quartet, 2.0 Saxophone Quartet.
Michellina has a passion for chamber music. In 2015 she founded the Super 3-o ensemble, a trio comprising of piano, saxophone and violin. Following this, after returning to Singapore she founded the Xin Saxophone Quartet, the nation’s first professional saxophone chamber group.

Michellina will be relocating at the end of 2016 to accept her position at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux Jacques Thibaud in Bordeaux, France.
