Esther Roh


Esther Roh, aged 14, started playing the piano at the age of 4 and started the violin at the age of 6. She lived in Brisbane until early last year, when she moved to Melbourne and she is currently a Year 9 student at Korowa Anglican Girls’ School. She is currently studying under Sophie Rowell.

Esther won many local eisteddfods and competitions, in Brisbane included the AUSTA Q String Festival Concerto Competition in 2013. She completed her AmusA Diploma, at the age of 11, and her LmusA Diploma the following year. She was involved Queensland Youth Orchestra for five years, while holding many leadership positions also was recently involved in the Australian Discovery orchestra project for the Independent School Victoria Arts Learning Festival, where there were Australian Premieres and was livestreamed for a world-wide audience.


She will be performing the second movement of  Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto in C major Op.48 and Tambourin Chinois by Fritz Kreisler on the 3rd of October.
