Rachael Joyce – Soprano

Rachael is in her final year of study at Monash University, completing a Bachelor of Arts/Music majoring in French language and Classical Voice. She has experience performing in competitions including Boroondara Eisteddfod, Eisteddfod by the Bay and the National Liederfest, and for St Carthage’s Visiting Artists program, as well as at official Monash functions. In 2018 Rachael was the recipient of the Hedy Holt & Roger Prochazka Memorial Award for a young female singer showing great potential in the refined art of Lieder performance at the National Liederfest. Rachael has performed for the Robert Stolz Viennese Music Society twice, at the Seniors Concert in 2018 and at the Austrian Club lunchtime concert in 2019. Rachael has travelled to France, participating in a six month university exchange at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, and to the Monash University campus in Prato, Italy, where she participated in a two week intensive course on music performance and the history of music in Italy. Rachael hopes to complete her Honours year in Classical Voice at Monash in 2020.
