Adrian Meyer – Trumpet/Flugelhorn
Episode 4 || 20 August 7PM
Adrian Meyer’s work as a trumpet player and educator is driven by his passion to share beautiful music with audiences, and to mentor and support young musicians in their own journeys.
Through diligent preparation and an eye for small details, Adrian creates thoughtful musical experiences for audiences, and empowers students to take charge of their own learning. Adrian is in demand as an educator, freelance trumpet player, and arts administrator, and has built this reputation through his ability to build meaningful relationships through meaningful work.
As a freelance musician, Adrian performs the music of Bach and Handel regularly with the St John’s orchestra, and the Melbourne Baroque Orchestra. As trumpet teacher at the Ivanhoe Grammar School, Laburnum Primary School, and through his dedicated private studio, Adrian enables students to discover, pursue, and work towards their own musical goals.
2019 sees Adrian working in Research Support at the University of Melbourne Faculty of Fine Arts & Music, completing his Bachelor of Music with Honours at the Melbourne Conservatorium, and performing regularly in freelance projects as well as University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra concerts.
