3MBS Fine Music Melbourne and The Talent is proud to present pianist, Po Goh, live in concert.
After winning season 1 of The Talent in 2019, Po will present a winners recital at Classic Cinema alongside his fellow finalists: Ji Woo Yoon (cello) and Anna Gao (piano).
“You’ll find spark, energy and charisma in the piano playing of Po Goh, so much so that he found it necessary to invest in a pair of earplugs to slow the ear damage exacerbated by too-reverberant practice rooms. Drawn to rhythmic drive, unrelenting dissonance and fierce climax, he has a love for the big and dramatic, further fed by his music directing experience in the theatre. His double degree, teaching, directing and practice fill his days, stealing sleep from the very bed beneath him. Po feels privileged to have this opportunity from 3MBS to share the stage once again with his fellow finalists from the Talent and hopes to take you on a journey through music that bites and soars.”
