
Our second performer for The Talent tonight is pianist Sarah Chen!
Sarah Chen, a student of Dr Mark McGee, is a 15 year old studying Year 12 at Tintern Grammar School who is both passionate about and talented at playing classical music for both piano and violin. As testament to this, Sarah has passed AMEB AMus for both violin and piano, while also having passed LMus for piano at age 12. With the belief that music is a beautiful gift that should be shared and appreciated, Sarah has been School Pianist at Tintern Grammar and attended various orchestras with violin in the Melbourne Youth Orchestras. Currently for piano, Sarah is working towards a Fellowship of Trinity College London (FTCL) while also regularly attending various competitions such as the Bach Competition and Scotch College Competition in Victoria
Sarah will perform:
- Bach: “Capriccio” from Partita BWV 826
- Beethoven: “Vivace ma non troppo” and “Prestissimo” from Sonata No. 30 in E major Op. 109
- Debussy: Gardens in the Rain
