Our second guest mentor for Episode 1 is cellist Zoe Knighton! After starting cello at the age of nine with Jill Kahans, and graduating from the University of Melbourne with the highest mark of her year, Zoe went on to establish herself as one of the country's most sought after cellists.
Jun began learning the cello with Suzuki music teacher Takao Mizushima in Sydney at the age of 5. He relocated back to Melbourne in 2016 and completed his Suzuki study under Shoreh Phillips and currently studies under Michael Dahlenburg, cellist in the Australian String Quartet.
This week on the Young Performer Summer Series we have a performance by cellist Joshua Dema and pianist Joyce Cahine, performing together as JUO. They'll be presenting a big programme of Beethoven, Kapustin and Vaughan Williams.
