Clara Dinh is a 16-year-old violinist attending Mentone Girls’ Grammar School. When she was 5, she was first exposed to music at Yamaha and learned her first instrument, the piano, with her mother. A year later, she watched her older sister practicing violin in the living room, and since then she was determined to learn violin as well. She began learning violin at the age of 6 under the tutelage of Ivana Tomaskova. She also undertook piano studies with Igor Machlak since 2020.

Since then, Clara has experienced several awards and musical experiences. She enjoyed participating in a few State Music Camps and MYM Summer Schools in her early years before the Covid pandemic. She won numerous awards in various Eisteddfods, such as SEAF, Waverley and Ringwood for piano and violin, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, and Honourable Mentions. In 2017, she was awarded 3rd prize in Category A for violin at the ENKOR International Competition. She was awarded High Distinction for her Certificate of Performance AMEB Exams for both violin and piano, and she obtained her Associate Diploma in Music (AMusA) for both piano and violin in 2022.

Clara enjoys listening to music, playing with her dog, and reading.
