It’s the last episode of this season of the Young Performer Summer Series! Tonight, we’ll hear from our final performer of the season, violinist Leon Fei, who came third on The Talent in Season 1 2019, and recently performed to great acclaim at the 3MBS Tchaikovsky Marathon.

Just 17 years old, Leon studies under Dr. Robin Wilson, Head of Violin at ANAM.  He was awarded A.Mus.A and L.Mus.A for violin, both with Distinction, and is also an accomplished pianist.

Leon has won numerous competitions including the 2021 LIMSA International Music Competition, 2020 Melbourne Recital Centre’s Bach Competition, 2019 Preston Youth Concerto Competition, 2017 Australia National Fine Music Young Virtuoso Award, 2017 3MBS Young Performer Award & Audience Award, to name a few internationally and nationally.

Leon performed as soloist with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in 2019, and recently with Corpus Medicorum for Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D.  Over the past years, he has appeared as a soloist in Carnegie Hall in New York, Hamer Hall, Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne Recital Centre, featured on 3MBS FM and ABC TV Program.
