Episode 2 Guest Mentor: saxophonist Joseph Lallo
Joseph Lallo is a Saxophone Lecturer at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and performs internationally as a soloist, chamber musician and conductor. He is the Artistic Director of the Melbourne International Saxophone Festival, and a member of the chamber music ensembles ‘Collide’, with cellist Yelian He and pianist Yasmin Rowe, and ‘Duo Obax’, with oboist Briana Leaman. Passionate about performing new Australian music, Joseph has premiered over 30 works for saxophone, and in 2021 recorded for ABC Classics.
Episode 2: pianist Ben Fu
16-year-old Ben Fu was born in China, and began his piano studies at the age of 7. Ben has won several first prizes since 2019 after coming to Australia, mostly recently being the first prize of 2020 Boroondara Eisteddfod piano concerto competition.
Episode 1 Guest Mentor: cellist Zoe Knighton
Our second guest mentor for Episode 1 is cellist Zoe Knighton! After starting cello at the age of nine with Jill Kahans, and graduating from the University of Melbourne with the highest mark of her year, Zoe went on to establish herself as one of the country's most sought after cellists.

Our first guest mentor for Season 2, 2021 is pianist Julia Hastings. Julia is a Melbourne-based pianist who defies stereotypes by being equally at home on stage as an actor.

Nicholas Khong is a Year 11 student, studying piano with Mr. Glenn Riddle. In 2020, at age 15 Nicholas completed Associate in Music, Australia Diploma (AMusA) with Distinction.
Episode 1: cellist Isaac Lee
Isaac Lee is currently learning cello with Rohan De Korte and has received consultation lessons with Howard Penny since the age of 9.
